Location

The University of Deusto is one of the most distinguished and prestigious academic institutions in Spain. The Bilbao campus is located in the heart of the city across the street from the Guggenheim Museum. The city is located on the banks of the estuary of river Nervión, and is also surrounded by beautiful green mountains. Nearby rural valleys, mountain ranges, and natural parks provide hikers plenty of opportunities to enjoy. The city offers an excellent transportation network: the safe award-winning subway network, designed by Norman Foster, an efficient city bus service, a new environment-friendly tramway service, an international airport, highways, intercity buses, and train services are all part of a network that makes moving within and outside of Bilbao an easy task. The new international airport is located only 6 miles away from the city center, and connects the city to major European cities such as Paris, Rome, London, Frankfurt, Lisbon, or Brussels. Bilbao is also close to the French border and Pyrenees ski resorts.

The Academy of Urbanism named Bilbao best European city in 2018!
